This Saturday I test rode the 2010 Harley RoadGlide. First off, thanks to the nice folks at Dallas Harley Davidson in Garland, TX. This was an official Harley Factory Demo Event and it went off without a hitch.
My first impression was the sleek red paint that looked top notch and was just begging for a rider. I was thrown off by the look of a 2 into 1 exhaust pipe. I just prefer duals on a bagger that comes from under the bags. It just gives it that look of balance. This bike is too quiet. The engineers at Harley must have put one helluva muffler on those pipes. It kind of sounds like George Jetson’s car. The RoadGlide tracks and points perfectly. I was trying out some press and roll maneuvers whenever I could. The engine felt powerful enough and the throttle was quick and precise. The clutch was soft and started to engage as soon as you let it out. The brakes were very powerful and it didn’t take long to slow the bike down. I think if you can get past the new exhaust this new RoadGlide could be the bike for you.
